Family of Saint Sharbel Philippines
A brief introduction or tagline
The Family of Saint Sharbel Philippines is a Catholic prayer community devoted to spreading the spirituality, message, and intercession of Saint Sharbel Makhlouf throughout the Philippines. More than an organization, it is a spiritual family — bringing together individuals, families, and communities who have encountered God’s grace through the life of Saint Sharbel and who desire to live a deeper life of prayer, conversion, and love for Christ.
This mission began as part of the worldwide movement known as The Family of Saint Sharbel, which was founded in Lebanon after the profound spiritual experiences of Raymond Nader, who later became the founder and president of the international Family of Saint Sharbel. The movement was established to help people live the Gospel more deeply through prayer, the Eucharist, Scripture, and the example of Saint Sharbel’s hidden holiness.
In the Philippines, the mission was born through a growing devotion among the faithful who experienced Saint Sharbel’s presence through healing, answered prayers, and spiritual renewal. What started as a small circle of believers gradually became a larger apostolate committed to sharing his message with the Filipino people through prayer gatherings, relic veneration, catechesis, pilgrimages, and works of mercy.
At the international level, the movement in Lebanon continues to be guided by Raymond Nader, whose mission has helped bring the spirituality of Saint Sharbel to many nations around the world. In the Philippines, the local mission is carried by its appointed Spiritual Director Fr. Hans Magdurulang and spiritual servants who work with the Church to continue this growing apostolate of faith.
The Family of Saint Sharbel Philippines stands as a living witness that Saint Sharbel’s message is not only for Lebanon, but for the whole world calling every soul to holiness, healing, and a deeper union with God.
Glory to God, Now and Forever
